The first edition of Northern Roll – brought us the biggest rollerskate event in the North of England. Northern Roll 2022 brought the first of its kind UK led Roller Skate Festival including all Skate Specialities and different communities together. We are now getting ready for Northern Roll 2025 and we are hoping to bring you a varied and exciting programme!

Northern Roll is about bringing a high quality festival of Rollerskating to the North of England curated for, by and with the skate community. Expect something for everyone, Roller Discos, Skate Park, Roller Derby, Roller Dance, Street Skate and Workshops.

The best part? All the profits will go back into the charity and into the Skate Scholarship, a scheme that gives free skates and coaching to disadvantaged young people and their families, ensuring the legacy and longevity of Roller Skating and families wellbeing.

Northern Roll is a festival for, by, with the Community! We are shaped by our steering group, who helps us decide what events they would like at Northern Roll.

• Skate ‘n Play - 5pm - 10pm @LS-TEN Skatepark, this is where our quad & inline night will happen and you can try our indoor or outdoor skate park. There will be Skatepark workshops happening with the amazing Shortstop and Kianna You Wanna. A nice chilled night.

• Roll In’ - 7pm - Midnight @Beaverworks OVER 18S ONLY. Skaters or Trainers you choose! Potternewton Rollers present Roll In’ the North’s biggest On/Off Skate party @Beaverworks. The floor isn’t perfect, but the vibes will be immaculate. We will also have a market place, an outdoor area, food & even some kicker ramps available for you to skate.

We could not run Northern Roll without are supporters, sponsors and volunteers. Our main sponsors this year are 187 Killer Pads and Triple 8.

We also have a dedicated steering group of skaters who are helping us shape this event, so it is the best event for all skaters across Leeds and beyond. Master Classes

So far we have a varied masterclass schedule. To take part in the Masterclasses you MUST have a Northern Roll ticket for either the day or for the weekend (one exception is the Short Stop Workshops)

We plan that this workshop schedule is finalised on the 3rd of February and full details to be announced.
